Sumeet Randhawa identified as Thursday’s homicide victim in Surrey
Surrey: The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team announced on Thursday that homicide victim was 30 year old Sumeet Randhawa from Surrey, who was killed in shooting at Surrey. He was known to police. On October 11, just before 2 p.m., Surrey RCMP were called to the 6700-block of 130th Street for a report of a shooting. However, the male succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at scene.
IHIT said it is working closely with its partners including the Surrey RCMP Serious Crime Unit, Lower Mainland Integrated Forensic Identification Services and the B.C. Coroners Service to gather evidence.
“This is believed to be a targeted incident related to the ongoing Lower Mainland gang conflict and anyone with information is asked to contact IHIT” says Detective Lara Jansen of IHIT.
