Youth stabbed in Sur­rey

Sur­rey: Sur­rey RCMP were on the area of 147th Street and 83rd Av­enue, Sur­rey, were a male youth was stabbed. On Oc­to­ber 22, at ap­prox­i­mately 8:00 p.m. Sur­rey Royal Cana­dian Mounted Po­lice and Bri­tish Columbia Am­bu­lance Ser­vice re­ceived mul­ti­ple 911 calls re­port­ing that a youth had been stabbed. Sur­rey Royal Cana­dian Mounted Po­lice of­fi­cers at­tended to the lo­ca­tion and lo­cated a 16 year old male who had been stabbed.

The youth, a res­i­dent of Sur­rey was trans­ported to hospi­tal, with non­life threat­en­ing in­juries. RCMP of­fi­cers are presently speak­ing to wit­nesses, and can­vass­ing the area for pos­si­ble video sur­veil­lance.

Ini­tial in­for­ma­tion is that a dis­pute oc­curred in­volv­ing a group of youths ap­par­ently known to each other and the vic­tim was stabbed, by an­other youth. The Sus­pect and sev­eral other youths fled from the scene prior to po­lice at­ten­dance.
