Af­ter getting a BA in film stud­ies from Car­leton Univer­sity in Ot­tawa, pho­tog­ra­pher Paul Duchart (“Bcbusi­ness Top 100: An Af­ter­noon With David Fos­ter,” p.61), re­turned to Van­cou­ver and started snap­ping photos of ac­tors (Sylvester Stal­lone, Sharon Stone) as well as ap­pear­ing in front of the cam­era in pro­duc­tions like Char­lie St.

Cloud, Van Hels­ing (TV se­ries) and Fifty Shades Freed. Duchart is also the cam­era­man for The Travel Guys TV show. Van­cou­ver-based pho­to­jour­nal­ist Tae­hoon Kim (“Cash Crop,” p.15) had planned to at­tend law school un­til he took a cou­ple of years off af­ter univer­sity to teach English in China and bought a cam­era to shoot pic­tures of his trip. He then did an MA in pho­to­jour­nal­ism at Ohio Univer­sity's School of Vis­ual Com­mu­ni­ca­tion. Kim's work has ap­peared in pub­li­ca­tions such as the Wall Street Jour­nal, the

Globe and Mail and Ma­clean's.
