MAKES: SERV­INGS SKEWERS PREP TIME: MIN­UTES Basil and watermelon are a ter­rific late-sum­mer pair­ing, and the salti­ness of the feta and olives makes the melon taste even sweeter. Bal­samic glaze is a thick con­cen­trate of the vine­gar, which brings a lovely sweet-sour el­e­ment to these pretty bites (look for it in the vine­gar aisle of your su­per­mar­ket).

IN­GRE­DI­ENTS

¼ large seed­less watermelon 1 (150 g) pkg feta

24 small fresh basil leaves 12 pit­ted kala­mata olives Bal­samic glaze

METHOD

Cut watermelon into 12 (1-inch/2.5 cm) cubes and place on a serv­ing plat­ter. Cut feta into 12 (¾-inch/2 cm) cubes and place 1 cube on top of each piece of watermelon. Top each with 2 basil leaves and 1 olive. Skewer each stack to­gether and driz­zle with a lit­tle bal­samic glaze.
