Desiring a home of open layouts with generous windows for views and natural light that best captures the country living experience, a partnership with Sartori Custom Homes brought her vision to light.

“I knew I wanted a blend of styles that would reflect the home where I grew up in Quebec City,” recalls the lady of the house who had also lived in Scotland, admiring the old architecture and how it blended with modern influences.

Designed by Dean Bottomley of Dean Thomas Design Group, with a West Coast Contemporary design in hand she approached Dan Sartori. “I saw Dan’s home in Best Home Magazine and really liked the attention to detail that was featured and soon realized that we were like-minded in our attitudes about style and quality.” Hosting bright interiors with clean lines, a soothing décor emerged that was warm, not stark or cold, with abundant natural wood finishes.

Founded in 1973 by Dan’s father Alberto Sartori, their focus still remains the same, one of singular care and attention to detail with a few thoughtfully executed builds per year. “Our philosophy is to treat each home we build as it were our own and to manage the projects personally—not to pass them on to site supervisors,” explains President Dan Sartori, who was recognized as a finalist for a 2017 Ovations Award in the Best Home category of $1.5 to $3 million.

Working with the planned design, Sartori’s personalized touches emerged with the staircase, exterior masonry work, and the behind the scenes mechanical system—the heartbeat of the home. Featuring interiors by Vincent Flasch Design, the abode displays a collaborative effort that interpreted a unique vision.

Built with the intention to comfortably accommodate a family of four with two large dogs and extend sheer entrainment value, this home resides on over three acres in the Dewinton area, exhibiting a total living area of 4,298 square feet. “We positioned the placement of the home to maximize
