Study Find Southwest, Choice Hotels Offer Best Mobile Experiences
A study by ForeSee, a customer experience measurement service, has found that Southwest and Choice Hotels create the best experiences on mobile.
The study looked at 25 major airlines, hotels, online travel agencies and car rental companies, scored on a 100-point scale. Southwest had the highest score overall at 82 points, Choice Hotels came in second with 80, just ahead of third-place Marriott, with an overall score of 79. The highest scoring online travel agency was Kayak at 78, and the highest car-rental company was Avis Rent-a-Car at 78.
The next highest scoring airlines were Delta and American Airlines, which both had scores of 77, five points behind Southwest.
The study also found that customers prefer to use mobile apps instead of mobile sites. The ForeSee Mobile Satisfaction Index: Travel Edition study is based on more than 6,000 responses collected in February 2013.
