Study Find South­west, Choice Ho­tels Of­fer Best Mo­bile Ex­pe­ri­ences

A study by Fore­See, a cus­tomer ex­pe­ri­ence mea­sure­ment ser­vice, has found that South­west and Choice Ho­tels cre­ate the best ex­pe­ri­ences on mo­bile.

The study looked at 25 ma­jor air­lines, ho­tels, on­line travel agen­cies and car rental com­pa­nies, scored on a 100-point scale. South­west had the high­est score over­all at 82 points, Choice Ho­tels came in sec­ond with 80, just ahead of third-place Mar­riott, with an over­all score of 79. The high­est scor­ing on­line travel agency was Kayak at 78, and the high­est car-rental com­pany was Avis Rent-a-Car at 78.

The next high­est scor­ing air­lines were Delta and Amer­i­can Air­lines, which both had scores of 77, five points be­hind South­west.

The study also found that cus­tomers pre­fer to use mo­bile apps in­stead of mo­bile sites. The Fore­See Mo­bile Sat­is­fac­tion In­dex: Travel Edi­tion study is based on more than 6,000 re­sponses col­lected in Fe­bru­ary 2013.
