Westin Launches Tangent Workspace

Business Traveler (USA) - - PROPERTY PIPELINE -

Westin Hotels & Resorts has announced the global roll out of its Tangent workspace concept, which was formerly known as Project Hive. Tangent is a flexible workspace environment based on the trend of“co-working”where flexible, temporary, collaborative workspaces are a prerequisite for high-performance work. In a small footprint of 260 square feet or less, Tangent’s efficient workspace consists of communal, interactive and individualized work zones.

In Westin Hotel’s in-depth guest research, more than 70 percent of business travelers said an environment that better suits their work objectives would significantly improve their business travel experience. The Tangent workspace features media:scape by Steelcase technology, an interactive space to access and share digital information quickly, video conferencing, printers, sound systems and wired and wireless Internet for no additional fee.

Tangent is currently available at The Westin Boston Waterfront, The Westin Arlington Gateway Hotel and The Westin Grand Munich. The product will continue to roll out to more than 40 hotels worldwide this year.
