Though most of the pavilions have now been dismantled, some survived and were renovated. The China pavilion remains, of course, while the feverishly popular Saudi Arabia pavilion has been converted into the Moon Boat that features the world’s largest IMAX theatre – its giant spherical screen measures 17,000 square feet (tickets cost ¥60/$9.40). Other preserved pavilions include those from Italy, the US, France and Russia. The Expo Cultural Center has become the Mercedes-Benz Arena, which broadcasts movies and hosts concerts and large events.
