United Takes Mobile Boarding Passes Nationwide

Business Traveler (USA) - - IN-FLIGHT ENTERTAINMENT -

United has released an update to its mobile app and has plans to make mobile boarding pass scanning available at all US locations.

The new version of the app includes a streamlined interface and new feature that lets customers manage their travel in real time during irregular flight operations.

If passengers’flights are delayed or canceled, the app will offer the option to keep their existing itinerary or, when available, the option to change to a new itinerary. They can accept new flights that United has automatically confirmed or look for alternate routes, airports and dates of arrival.

United plans to roll out mobile boarding pass scanning nationwide to 220 domestic airports by fall of this year. The airline has offered mobile boarding passes since 2007.
