Delta Crews Go Mo­bile with AT&T

AT&T will pro­vide mo­bil­ity ser­vices and de­vices for Delta Air Lines flight at­ten­dants un­der a multi-year agree­ment. More than 19,000 Delta Air Lines flight at­ten­dants will have Nokia Lu­mia de­vices with Mi­crosoft Dy­nam­ics point-of-sale plat­form on Win­dows Phone 8 with a cus­tom Delta de­sign by Avanade. The de­vices will op­er­ate over both WiFi and AT&T’s 4G LTE Net­work.

The new de­vices will al­low for real-time credit card val­i­da­tion when pas­sen­gers pur­chase food, drinks and up­grades, a faster work­flow and faster trans­ac­tion times. All of th­ese fac­tors will in­crease the speed of over­all in-flight ser­vices.

AT&T also re­cently en­tered into an agree­ment with Hil­ton to power its “Stay Con­nected” pro­gram. Through the pro­gram, AT&T is bring­ing WiFi to more than 3,200 ho­tels, pro­vid­ing free WiFi to Gold and Di­a­mond HHonors mem­bers, as well as all cur­rent AT&T cus­tomers re­gard­less of their HHonors loy­alty sta­tus.
