Delta Crews Go Mobile with AT&T
AT&T will provide mobility services and devices for Delta Air Lines flight attendants under a multi-year agreement. More than 19,000 Delta Air Lines flight attendants will have Nokia Lumia devices with Microsoft Dynamics point-of-sale platform on Windows Phone 8 with a custom Delta design by Avanade. The devices will operate over both WiFi and AT&T’s 4G LTE Network.
The new devices will allow for real-time credit card validation when passengers purchase food, drinks and upgrades, a faster workflow and faster transaction times. All of these factors will increase the speed of overall in-flight services.
AT&T also recently entered into an agreement with Hilton to power its “Stay Connected” program. Through the program, AT&T is bringing WiFi to more than 3,200 hotels, providing free WiFi to Gold and Diamond HHonors members, as well as all current AT&T customers regardless of their HHonors loyalty status.
