Lo­ca­tion: Air­side of Ben­galuru In­ter­na­tional Air­port in Ban­ga­lore, In­dia – one in in­ter­na­tional departures and the other in do­mes­tic departures.

Open­ing date: The do­mes­tic lounge is now open, and the one in in­ter­na­tional departures is sched­uled to open this Spring.

Ac­ces­si­ble to: An­other of Plaza Pre­mium’s pay-per-use prop­er­ties, the lounges are open to any pas­sen­ger with en­try fees start­ing at RP1000 ($16) plus tax for two hours.

De­sign: Cre­ated by Aus­tralian Mitchel Squires, the lounges show­case Ban­ga­lore’s rep­u­ta­tion as“The Gar­den City,”of­fer­ing glass ceil­ings, lush green­ery and tim­ber fur­nish­ings.

Fea­tures: A se­lec­tion of food and bev­er­ages, a seat­ing area, shower fa­cil­i­ties, a busi­ness cen­ter and a spa and mas­sage area. In ad­di­tion to the two post-se­cu­rity lounges, Plaza Pre­mium is also open­ing a Day Ho­tel lo­cated land­side. The property will be Ben­galuru’s first tran­sit ho­tel ser­vice. Open 24 hours, the 65,700-square-foot property will have rooms with a shower fa­cil­i­ties, beds, WiFi, TV and an in­ter­com sys­tem. Rooms can be rented overnight or for a num­ber of hours – pric­ing de­tails have yet to be set.
