South African Air­ways Re­sumes Non­stop JNB-JFK – South African Air­ways (SAA) has re­sumed its pop­u­lar daily non­stop ights be­tween Jo­han­nes­burg, South Africa, and New York – JFK In­ter­na­tional Air­port, be­gin­ning March 9.

While SAA’s out­bound New York-Jo­han­nes­burg ight has con­tin­ued to op­er­ate on a non­stop daily ba­sis, the re­turn ight has been mak­ing a re­fu­elling stop in Dakar, Sene­gal, due in part to lower travel de­mand dur­ing the win­ter months. The evening de­par­ture is timed to ar­rive in New York in the early morn­ing.

Aeromex­ico Adds Madrid Ser­vice

– Aeromex­ico is in­creas­ing its seat­ing ca­pac­ity to Madrid with three additional evening flights sched­uled to be­gin in May 2014. Of the 10 weekly ights be­tween Madrid and Mex­ico City, seven will be aboard Boe­ing 777 air­craft, and three on Boe­ing 787’s.

Aeromex­ico is the only car­rier us­ing the 787 be­tween Europe and Mex­ico.

Amer­i­can Fields New Daily Flights

to Asia – Part­ner­ing with oneworld al­liance mem­ber Ja­pan Air­lines, Amer­i­can Air­lines will be­gin daily ser­vice June 11 be­tween Dal­las/ Ft. Worth (DFW) and Shang­hai’s Pudong In­ter­na­tional Air­port (PVG) ying Boe­ing 777-200 air­craft.
