Smithsonian Folklife Festival Washington, DC June 25 – 29, July 2 – 6
Visit and participate in the annual Smithsonian Folklife Festival, an international exposition of living cultural heritage featuring diverse, authentic traditions – both old and new. The Festival is Washington’s largest annual cultural event, drawing as many as a million visitors to the National Mall. In the past, it’s attracted musicians, artists, performers, craftspeople, workers, cooks and storytellers who re ect a variety of cultural traditions. Usually divided into programs featuring a nation, region, state or theme, this year’s Festival focuses on China and Kenya.
