Delta Launches Ex­panded Seat­tle Ser­vice – Delta Air Lines is of­fer­ing new daily non­stop ser­vice from Seat­tle-Ta­coma In­ter­na­tional Air­port to Lon­don Heathrow Air­port. The route is part of Delta’s joint ven­ture with Vir­gin At­lantic Air­ways.

Delta has also ex­panded Seat­tle ser­vice from Anchorage, Fair­banks and Juneau, A ; Las Ve­gas, Los Angeles, Port­land, OR, San Diego, San Fran­cisco and San Jose, CA; and Van­cou­ver. In June, Delta is in­au­gu­rat­ing new in­ter­na­tional ser­vice from Seat­tle to Seoul and Hong ong.

Vir­gin Amer­ica An­nounces Love Field Des­ti­na­tions – Trav­el­ers are now able to y from Dal­las’ Love Field DAL to LaGuardia, Rea­gan, LA and San Fran­cisco aboard Vir­gin Amer­ica. This is more fall­out from the Amer­i­can/US Air­ways merger slot di­vesti­tures.

Daily SFO, LA and DCA to DAL ser­vice starts Oct. 13. LGA to DAL daily ights start on Oct. 28. Vir­gin Amer­ica is also plan­ning to move its cur­rent op­er­a­tions from Dal­las-Fort Worth In­ter­na­tional Air­port to Love Field in Oc­to­ber.

In other route news, Vir­gin Amer­ica has an­nounced a sec­ond daily ight from San Fran­cisco to Austin, TX, start­ing July 8. The new morn­ing de­par­ture time com­ple­ments the cur­rent af­ter­noon ser­vice.

Emi­rates Brings Daily A380 Ser­vice to DFW – Emi­rates, the world’s largest op­er­a­tor of the A380, will be de­ploy­ing the su­per­jumbo onto its daily ser­vice be­tween Dubai and Dal­las/Forth Worth In­ter­na­tional Air­port (DFW) start­ing Oct. 1. Aboard the A380, the daily ights will of­fer 14 suites in the First Class cabin, 76 seats in Busi­ness and 399 in Econ­omy.

SAS Heads Di­rectly to Hous­ton – Scan­di­na­vian Air­lines (SAS) is launch­ing non­stop ser­vice be­tween Sta­vanger, Nor­way and Ge­orge Bush In­ter­con­ti­nen­tal Air­port (IAH) in Hous­ton, be­gin­ning Aug. 20. The ser­vice will be aboard a Boe­ing 737700 with just 44 busi­ness seats in the SAS Long Haul Busi­ness Class con­cept. Flights will op­er­ate daily ex­cept Satur­days.
