Start the day with a visit to Changdeokgung, Seoul’s most serene royal palace. With its lovingly-preserved architecture and carefully-maintained grounds – including the lush royal getaway known as the ‘Secret Garden’– you’ll have no trouble understanding why Changdeokgung is today a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Take an Artee pedicab ride through the old alleys of Bukchon Hanok Village, comprised of about 900 hanok (traditional Korean houses), and learn the stories and historic values of the village’s less trodden pathways. End the guided tour in Samcheongdong, a district of northern Seoul well known for its various art museums, galleries and shops. Enjoy lunch in one of its many restaurants or trendy cafes offering an eclectic range of cuisine.
