Business Traveler (USA) - - TRIED AND TESTED -

The hotel occupies the first 25 floors of the 90-story skyscraper named One57, a luxury mixed-use hotel residential project topped out in late 2013. It’s located conveniently for both business and leisure on 57th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues. The ultra-modern design of the tower by worldrenowned Pritzker Prizewinning architect Christian de Portzamparc is carried through in the feel of the generously sized guest rooms designed by Yabu Pushelberg, the curated art and the five-star service. The recently unveiled North American flagship property boasts amenities including a 25th-floor spa, gym and indoor pool, while maintaining the Park Hyatt brand modern style.

As a seasoned five-star travel veteran originally from the Second City of Chicago – formerly the home of Park Hyatt’s flagship property – I was pleased to find that this hotel does indeed deserve the title. The design, service level, food, and most importantly the rooms are the perfect combination of refined elegance and modern opulence.
