Haile Gebrselassie dominated the world of distance running for the better part of two decades winning two Olympic gold medals, four consecutive world championships and setting twenty-seven world records. This unparalleled athletic resume has earned him a reputation as the greatest distance runner in history.
Today, he is Ethiopia’s most popular celebrity and, though his running career is winding down, he is applying his gritty determination to power his country’s economic renaissance.
“When foreign diplomats visited Ethiopia,”the 41 year old says of his entrepreneurial journey,“I asked them, ‘How much money has your government
