Per­son­al­ized Ex­pe­ri­ences and High Tech Top Trav­el­ers Wish Lists

In the fu­ture trav­el­ers will tap into both high-tech op­tions and high-touch hu­man ser­vice in or­der to achieve the ul­ti­mate travel ex­pe­ri­ence, ac­cord­ing to new re­search from Amer­i­can Ex­press Travel. Of more than 1,000 con­sumers sur­veyed, 93 per­cent of re­spon­dents said that de­spite re­cent dig­i­tal ad­vances in the travel in­dus­try, the value of per­sonal ser­vice can­not be re­placed.

In ad­di­tion, 83 per­cent of Mil­len­ni­als said they are will­ing to have brands track their habits in ex­change for a more per­son­al­ized ex­pe­ri­ence. But tech­nol­ogy still wins when it comes to cer­tain as­pects of travel; 76 per­cent of all re­spon­dents said they use tech­nol­ogy to book flights and ho­tels, and 60 per­cent said they use it check in to flights or ho­tels.
