LAN and TAM Revamp Loyalty Programs
LAN, TAM and their affiliate airlines have announced changes to their frequent flyer programs. The LANPASS program has been renamed LATAM Pass while TAM’s Fidelidade program is now called LATAM Fidelidade,
In addition existing categories in both programs will get the same names. The LAN program will replace Premium, Premium Silver, Comodoro and Black with Gold, Platinum Black and Black Signature respectively. Similarly, TAM categories of Blue, Red, Red Plus and Black will also be renamed Gold, Platinum Black and Black Signature. The new categories are valid starting April 1, 2016.
Benefits in each category will be the same as currently available to passengers flying airlines of the LATAM group, and by other members of the oneworld alliance. LATAM Pass members will continue to accumulate loyalty rewards tallied by miles and LATAM. Fidelidade members will continue to accumulate through points.
LATAM Pass members can request a courtesy upgrade between 48 and 12 hours before their flight, while LATAM Fidelidade members can request a courtesy upgrade up to 72 before their flight. This benefit will be rolled out during the year and will be available on all LAN and TAM flights by the end of 2016.
