U.S. News Ranks Top Ho­tel Re­wards Pro­grams

U.S. News & World Re­port, has an­nounced its list of the Best Ho­tel Re­wards Pro­grams for 2016-2017. The rank­ing iden­ti­fied 18 of the most prom­i­nent ho­tel loy­alty pro­grams and scored them based on mem­ber­ship perks, network cov­er­age, ease of earn­ing and re­deem­ing free nights.

Top­ping the list was Wyn­d­ham Re­wards with an over­all score of 4.77. Wyn­d­ham Re­wards mem­bers earn points for stays in any of the Wyn­d­ham Ho­tel Group’s more than 7,800 prop­er­ties across sev­eral dis­tinc­tive brands, in­clud­ing Days Inn, Dolce Ho­tels and Re­sorts and Wyn­d­ham Grand Ho­tels.

Tied for sec­ond place were Choice Priv­i­leges and Mar­riott Re­wards with over­all scores of 4.64. Mar­riott Re­wards mem­bers can earn points at the 17 af­fil­i­ated brands, in­clud­ing Ritz-Carl­ton, Court­yard Mar­riott, Re­nais­sance and more. There are more than 6,300 ho­tels par­tic­i­pat­ing in the Choice pro­gram, in­clud­ing brands like Com­fort Inn, Com­fort Suites, and Econo Lodge. Choice Priv­i­leges jumped to sec­ond place on the list, up from eleventh on the 2015-2016 rank­ing.

Round­ing out the top five spots, Best Western Re­wards scored 4.26 and La Quinta Re­turns posted a score of 4.21.
