Shangri-La and Taj Ho­tels Ex­tend Warmer Wel­comes

Shangri-La Ho­tels and Re­sorts and Mum­bai-based lux­ury ho­tel group Taj Ho­tels Re­sorts and Palaces have en­tered into an agree­ment to in­te­grate Shangri-La’s Golden Cir­cle loy­alty pro­gram with Taj’s In­ner Cir­cle pro­gram. Launch­ing in March as the Warmer Wel­comes pro­gram, the al­liance will in­clude au­to­matic tier-match­ing sta­tus for all cur­rent and fu­ture mem­bers:

Un­der the agree­ment ShangriLa Golden Cir­cle Gold tier will match Taj In­ner Cir­cle Cop­per or Sil­ver tiers, Golden Cir­cle Jade matches In­ner Cir­cle Gold and Shangri-La’s Di­a­mond is the equiv­a­lent of Taj Ho­tels’ Plat­inum.

Mem­bers will be able to earn re­ward points on stays at any of the two groups’com­bined port­fo­lio. To re­deem stays, Golden Cir­cle mem­bers can con­vert 100 points to 67 TIC points, while 100 TIC points con­vert to 38 GC award points.
