United, South­west and JetBlue Launch Ha­vana Ser­vices

With the re­lax­ation of re­stric­tions on travel to Cuba, the end of 2016 saw three more US air­lines be­gin ser­vice to Ha­vana’s Josè Martì In­ter­na­tional Air­port. United Air­lines launched daily non­stops from Ne­wark’s Lib­erty Air­port as well as non­stop ser­vice from Hous­ton’s Bush In­ter­con­ti­nen­tal Air­port.

Ha­vana be­came South­west Air­line’s 100th Tampa and twice daily ser­vice from Fort Laud­erdale. Days later the air­line added num­ber 101 with ser­vice to Santa Clara, Cuba.

Ha­vana also be­came JetBlue’s 100th desti­na­tion when the car­rier launched ser­vice Laud­erdale.

Hong Kong Air­lines An­nounces Van­cou­ver Route

Hong Kong Air­lines will be­gin a non-stop daily ser­vice be­tween Hong Kong In­ter­na­tional Air­port (HKG) and Van­cou­ver In­ter­na­tional Air­port (YVR) be­gin­ning June 30. The air­line will ini­tially op­er­ate the route us­ing an Air­bus 330-200 with 283 seats.
