American Express GBT Teams with Lyft
American Express Global Business Travel and Lyft, the rideshare company, have announced a partnership that fully integrates Lyft’s platform, data and insights for Amex GBT’s client travel programs. Calling it a“first of its kind” arrangement, the companies say it will now be easier for client business travelers to use Lyft for ground transportation.
Among the benefits cited by the companies are cost savings, data visibility, easy integration, incentives and rewards for travelers and risk management. Michael Qualantone, executive vice president of global supplier relations for American Express GBT, said the integration is the first in a series of milestones for the company’s overall ground strategy that will be announced this year.
