The Lufthansa Group has announced plans to move its Berlin flights to Berlin Brandenburg Airport in early November. The German capital’s long-awaited new airport is scheduled to open Oct. 31. Lufthansa, Brussels Airlines, Swiss and Austrian Airlines are set to make the switch from Tegel to BER Terminal 1 on Nov. 8, while the group’s low-cost carrier Eurowings will be moving to Terminal 2 on Nov. 4.

The Lufthansa Group’s move will begin on Oct. 31, and will take a week. The booking systems have already moved to the new airport, so customers who book flights for Nov. 8 or later will see BER as their destination. Those with flights already booked will be informed of the change. Berlin’s Tegel Airport is set to close after the new airport opens, though a timeline has not been given. lufthansagroup.com, berlin_airport.de
