Stefano Ricci Opens Vancouver Boutique Premiere Italian Clothing Designer/retailer Debuts in Canada

CAIFU - - Leader Spotlight - By Alan Forsythe

Indowntown Vancouver, next to the soon to be opened Trump Tower is a store whose name represents the last word in men’s fashion, Stefano Ricci.

Opening their first ever store in Canada, they have chosen the prestigious 1139 West Georgia address for their 2600 square foot boutique. Stefano Ricci is known for finely tailored Italian suits to exquisite casual wear, all fashioned to highest handmade standards, rivaled, perhaps, by only the most venerable Savile Row tailors. Using the finest sourced all natural materials, from leather to silk, has been Stefano Ricci’s philosophy from their start, over 45 years ago. Their commitment to that philosophy has earned them a dedicated international following, with locations multiplying across Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

With just three other North American locations (NYC, Beverly Hills, Las Vegas) The Vancouver store will, appropriately enough, be a cornerstone to the high end, luxury retail quadrangle between Thurlow and Burrard streets and bounded by Georgia and Alberni Streets to the north and south. Stephan Ricci joins Rolex, Prada, Versace, Bruno Cucinelli and Jeager-lecoultre in a part of Vancouver’s downtown that is home to some of Canada’s priciest real estate.

Founded in Florence in the early 1970s, at a time when synthetic fabrics were very much in vogue, Stefano Ricci took the long road, focusing not on the trendy, but the enduring, using only the finest, natural materials, creating clothes that embody a classic style that justify their no compromise prices.

Originally specializing in ties, they of course expanded to include all menswear, but also fragrances and luxury household items, such as crystal stemware, porcelain objects d’art and tea service, silverware and fine linens, all fashioned under the motto, “quality to the point of perfection,” a dedication that is appreciated today, more than ever.

Outside of their retail locations they also offer interior design solutions for your home or if needs be, your mega yacht (now with their own separate luxury yacht division.)

Mega yachts aside, Vancouver consumers are invited to enjoy the warm, rich walnut interior and browse their extensive selection of menswear, shoes, luggage, cufflinks and all the other accruements any well-dressed gentleman shouldn’t be without. The trip to Stefano Ricci, as many discover, can be an experience in of itself.

Currently the only other North American location planned is Miami, so Vancouver residents, and visitors to the city, who enjoy the finer things in life can count themselves lucky.
