LUXURY: Golf and ski

Calgary Herald New Condos - - Recreation & Investment Properties -

While the cost of whole ownership may be out of reach for the average buyer, partial ownership presents the same opportunity at a more affordable price.

More than 11 per cent of the resort has been sold. Quarter ownership start at $82,400, with full ownership starting at $304,500, including HST.

Located in the mountain town of Invermere near Panorama ski resort, Copper Point Resort is right on nature’s doorstep, where world-class skiing, hiking, boating and cycling are close by.

The area boasts nine golf courses and is only 15 minutes away from the hot springs in Radium. Invermere is a small town with an artistic flavour and has all of the conveniences — from grocery stores to clothing boutiques.

Within the resort, itself, amenities also abound. Residents and guests alike will enjoy the use of two pools (one of them indoors), a fully-equipped fitness area, a sport court and conference facilities.

Elements Grill, a trendy, contemporary restaurant within the resort. offers a range of culinary delicacies, from tapas to full mountain-inspired cuisine.

To ease those tired muscles, a full service spa will be opening in March.

The resort features a selection of 106 luxury condos ranging from 700 to more than 1,300 square feet.

Buyers can choose from one-, two- and three-bedroom plans.

Loft options are available and 90 per cent of homes feature a lock-off suite with master bedroom and balcony.

All homes come fully furnished and highlight the expansive and breathtaking mountain and golf course views.

High-end finishes such as hardwood and slate flooring, built-in wine racks, granite countertops and gourmet kitchens are standard.

Every condo comes with two fireplaces, wall mounted televisions in the living room and all bedrooms, private balconies with access from both the master bedroom and the living room, barbecues and air conditioning.

Buyers can enjoy their own piece of paradise in Copper Point through whole or fractional quarter ownership.

Under the leadership of Radhe Gupta, president and CEO of Rohit Communities, the company has expanded from homebuilder to land developer, as well as commercial developer and capital financier.

The company purchased Copper Point out of receivership in 2009 and has worked hard to bring the resort to fruition.

Gupta has a famous saying: “Buy right and consider half sold.” It is this philosophy that has resulted in the company seeking out niche markets and opportunities.

“We’ve been counter-cyclical,” says Gupta.

“When the market dipped, we didn’t slow down. We forged ahead, buying land in preparation for the next surge.”

The resort recently received its first customer service recognition award from the Canadian Home Builders’ Association-central Okanagan region.

“Customer service is a top priority for our organization,” says Rohit Gupta, chief financial official of the Rohit Group of Companies.

To this end, Rohit has hired Atlific Hotels to manage the resort.

Photos courtesy, Copper Point Resort

The resort is surrounded by the natural beauty of two mountain ranges. The area has nine golf courses and is near Radium Hot Springs.

The indoor pool means buyers can enjoy swimming year-round.

The resort offers conference facilities that include this pool table.

The luxurious condos feature rich finishes and attention to detail.

The development has plenty of impressive amenities.
