Vantage looks good to buyers
One-third of Evansridge project sold as sales of second phase launched
A home on a high perch is a hotticket item in EvansRidge.
Since launching May 4, Calbridge Homes’ modern luxury townhome project, Vantage on EvansRidge, has garnered much attention.
“We’re close to a third sold,” says area sales manager Mario Devcic.
The project will contain 20 buildings, with four to six units in each. Of the 78 units in the development, 26 have sold.
With only a handful of units re- maining in the first buildings, the second phase of four buildings recently began sales.
Vantage offers two floor plans. The Gemini end unit contains 1, 462 square feet with den — or 1,365 square feet without the den — and starts at $325,000, including GST, in the first phase.
The Orion inside unit has 1, 430 square feet with den, or 1,334 square feet without the den. It starts at $323,000 in the second phase.
Both the Orion and the Gemini come with a choice of three-bedroom or two master bedroom configurations on the third floor.
The ground-floor den could also act as another bedroom. Each unit comes with an attached two-car garage.
Purchasers range from firsttime homebuyers to empty nesters who want to stay in northwest Calgary.
“We’re noticing a lot of customers coming from Panorama Hills and the Hamptons,” says Devcic. “The Hamptons ones are quite interesting because they are repeat buyers of Calbridge who bought homes (in the Hamptons) 15 to 20 years ago.”
Calbridge Homes has plans to build show suites that are slated to open in February. Excavation on the first buildings is expected to start in August.
The modern interiors include wide-plank laminate hardwood flooring on the main living level, a premium stainless-steel kitchen appliance package by Whirlpool, and maple or thermofoil flat slab or Shaker-style cabinets.
They also include front-load, high-efficiency washers and dryers, and knock-down ceil-

The exterior includes fade-, damage- and fire-resistant James Hardie fibre cement siding, oversized energy-efficient windows, and a covered barbecue deck off the kitchen area with a gas barbecue rough-in.
The standard specifications are high, so adding all the upgrades possible totals at most around $17,000, says Devcic.
Vantage’s location has much to recommend it.
“Being right on the ridge in EvansRidge, we overlook Symons Valley Ranch,” says Devcic.
“We have a great view of the valley and the mountains. The site backs onto the ridge, sides onto green space and fronts a future school site.
“Location-wise, we’re not surrounded by a bunch of singlefamily homes looking down on you, not surrounded by apart- ments and not surrounded by commercial. It really is its own little enclave on the hill.”
