Having recently moved out of Calgary, I have had many occasions to come into the city on Highway 1 past Canada Olympic Park.
In defence of the new art installation, it always makes an impression. The posts and stones are very stunning, and yes, I can see the ripples on the rock surface. We don’t need more cowboy art. Just give the Bowfort Towers a chance; it may grow on you. Mary Perrott, Canmore
It truly is stunning isn't it. I've had a replica made for my living room.
Mary agrees with the 1% so that's it. It's here to stay for the next 50 to 60 years and the art and culture dept. at the city is now feeling better and saying I told you so.
I guess it's safe to say that Mary's eyewear benefits have expired.
About the same amount of charm as a dog turd on a bike path. What wrong with making a piece of art look like something at least some folks could recognize and appreciate. The big blue ring, really, right out beside Deer Foot so the whole world traveling through can see the depths to which this has sunk, now another piece of crap right on the #1 by COP, OMG, what must the visitors to Calgary think of our taste in art????
