Stop complaining; be part of solution

Re: Grassroots groups battle for safer return to schools, Aug. 12

It’s appalling how we continue to hear words like “livid”, “protesting” and “idiocy” from Alberta parents on the back-to-school plan. You may not be getting responses back from our government, but have you considered that they might be listening?

Many schools haven’t revealed their full plans yet to be sure it is done well, and have been working through the summer to ensure clear communication and protocols for September. Also, school boards have provided and staffed online platforms for families who aren’t comfortable attending in-person classes, as well as a means to reduce class sizes.

Let’s figure this out together Alberta and stop complaining and stop blaming. Reach out to your local school and start offering practical support, resources and services so that we can all be as safe as possible in the fall.
