Satellite communities see sales dip in October
Each month, the Calgar y Real Estate Board puts a focus on housing markets in three of Calg a r y ’s nei g hbouring communities. Here’s how the figures added up in October.
n The market continues to see declining sales and increasing inventory compared to last year. Elevated supply levels have led to lower benchmark prices for detached homes.
n Total year-to-date sales are 1,032 homes, 11 percent below last year. Year to date, new listings have remained relatively stable, but remain well above long-term averages.
n Inventory year to date is 19 percent higher than usual, with months of supply at six. The year-to-date value of single-family homes now sits at $370,880, a year-over-year decline of nearly two percent.
