Trump is definitely on the road to re-election

Calgary Sun - - COMMENT -

For those poor souls who still believe that the commies stole the election from poor hillary and that donald Trump’s campaign team colluded with the big, bad Ruskies to take the election from the self-entitled democratic candidate, then I have some bad news for you.

Trump will not be impeached. The Russians did not steal the election. hillary was a terribly incompetent campaigner and deeply flawed candidate.

Trump will not resign midterm because he is not getting his way. or out of pique or boredom. The GoP establishment will not dump Trump now, in 2018, in 2020 or ever.

Because it is very obvious to this writer that Trump is on his way to a fairly easy re-election.

But according to such mainstream pollsters as Post/cBs polls (36% approval rating), Trump’s approval ratings are far lower than those of obama and Bill clinton when they were president. such polls suggest Trump is in big political trouble.

so, you may be thinking, what kind of Trudeau-approved medicinal weed am I smoking? the reasons for Trump’s solid support in his base. Trump is slowly and methodically fulfilling his campaign promises.

during the election Trump primarily campaigned on improving the economy and job prospects for working people and middle-income people. he went after the heart of hillary’s support in the six Midwest middle-income swing states of ohio, north carolina, Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Florida.

Trump won those states and the presidency. That is Trump’s path to victory in 2020. Accordingly, since January, Trump has focused on and held rallies in those six critical swing states.

during the campaign, Trump threatened to tear up the nAFTA agreement or at least renegotiate it on more favorable terms to the u.s. and to American workers. For the first time in 20 years, nAFTA is back on the table and canada’s dairy industry is under attack.

Wisconsin dairy farmers are pleased. As opposed to obama, Trump has made serious efforts to ensure the major auto manufacturers invest and expand their operations in Michigan.

As promised, he is encouraging the expansion of the coal industry in Pennsylvania and ohio. Trump backed out of the job-killing Paris climate accord.

Trump has given a green light to America’s booming oil and gas industry. he approved the keystone pipeline, which should generate good industrial jobs in America’s heartland.

Trump and his administration are rapidly removing many job-killing, anti-business obama-era regulations. The effect is to kick start private companies in north carolina, Florida and throughout the whole country.

Trump is pushing for a substantive reduction in jobkilling taxes on small and medium-sized companies. Again, good news for job creation. Trump delivered on appointing a very strong solid conservative jurist in neil Gorsuch to the supreme court.

Trump will win again in 2020. yuuge!
