Book high­lights threat of in­vis­i­ble war­fare

Join Sun columnist an­thony Furey Fri­day for the cal­gary launch of his new book Pulse At­tack: The Real Story Be­hind The Se­cret Weapon That Can De­stroy North Amer­ica.

the book, al­ready a best­seller, explores the his­tory and cur­rent threat around elec­tro­mag­netic pulse (EMP) war­fare.

Now the is­sue is more ur­gent than ever. Fol­low­ing North Korea’s sixth nu­clear launch on Septem­ber, the rogue state threat­ened to launch an EMP at­tack on the United States, which would af­fect canada.

“this is my first au­thor event in cal­gary so i’m re­ally look­ing for­ward to con­nect­ing with read­ers,” says Furey.

the launch takes place Fri­day, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at the Sier­ras of coun­try Hills condo com­plex So­cial room, at 728 coun­try Hills rd. N.W.
