Ty Lewis scored a break­away goal 27 sec­onds into over­time to power the bran­don Wheat Kings to a

6-5 win over the Calgary Hit­men on Tues­day night.

ste­lio mattheos net­ted a pair of mark­ers for the home­town Wheat Kings with baron Thomp­son, Con­nor Guten­berg and Lin­den Mc cor­ris­ter adding sin­gles. It was Mc cor­ris­ter’s pow­er­play tally with 1:29 re­main­ing that forced the ex­tra ses­sion. Last sea­son’s WHL sec­ond Team all-star Kale Clague led the bran­don at­tack with four as­sists.

Calgary re­ceived a pair of goals from both Jakob stukel and Tris­ten nielsen. Jake bean rounded out the scor­ing with vladislav yery­omenko chip­ping in a pair of helpers.

The Hit­men are in regina tonight to take on the Pats.
