Rekon Plus

At a width of 2.80", the Rekon Plus is Maxxis’s new 27.5-plus tire. It uses Silkshield, a form of puncture protection that runs from bead to bead. The tire’s durability is also bolstered by butyl-rubber inserts that extend from each bead up each sidewall. These inserts work to prevent pinch flats and to add sidewall stability as you tear down the trail. The company says the weight of the Rekon Plus with Silkshield is 885 g.
