DR. WADE DAVIS is one of Canada’s great sto­ry­tellers, and has been de­scribed as a rare com­bi­na­tion of sci­en­tist, scholar, poet and pas­sion­ate de­fender of all of life’s diver­sity. An au­thor of 20 books, in­clud­ing One River, The Wayfind­ers, The Sacred Head­wa­ters, Into the Si­lence and River Notes, he is also known for his stun­ning pho­tog­ra­phy, which has been widely pub­lished and cel­e­brated in ex­hibits. A re­cip­i­ent of the RCGS Gold Medal and the Ex­plor­ers Club Medal, Wade was made a Mem­ber of the Or­der of Canada in 2016 and cur­rently serves as Hon­orary Vice-pres­i­dent of the RCGS.
