Give your friends some­thing spe­cial for the hol­i­days—Cof­fee Truf­fles made with Lavazza! Th­ese truf­fles are coated with crushed hazel­nuts, nougat and cof­fee pow­der, with a touch of rum.

IN­GRE­DI­ENTS

(For 20 truf­fles)

2 tbsp Lavazza espresso or cof­fee 200 g white choco­late

¼ cup dou­ble cream

3 tbsp chopped hazel­nut

3 tbsp hard nougat or tor­rone, chopped 4 tsp but­ter

1 tsp rum

1 ½ tsp cof­fee pow­der

1 ½ tsp co­coa pow­der

15 tbsp gin­ger pow­der

Cane sugar

PREPA­RA­TION

Cut the choco­late into pieces. Bring the cream to a boil with the rum. Pour the liq­uid over the choco­late and mix un­til com­pletely dis­solved. Add the but­ter in pieces and mix well. Put the mix­ture into a con­tainer and chill.

METHOD

Di­vide the dough into pieces and roll into minia­ture balls. Pre­pare a mix­ture of cane sugar and gin­ger, cut into pieces. Pre­pare a mix­ture with co­coa pow­der and cof­fee pow­der. (TIP: to cre­ate cof­fee pow­der, grind Lavazza cof­fee into a fi ne pow­der.) Place crushed hazel­nuts on a plate. Coarsely chop nougat and ar­range on a plate. Roll the balls in the dif­fer­ent mix­tures to get dif­fer­ent va­ri­eties.
