Hot Ci der Toddy
In saucepan, heat 4 cups pasteurized apple cider and 1 tbsp lemon juice over medium heat until steaming. Add 2 cinnamon sticks and one 2-inch piece lemon rind; remove from heat and let steep, covered, for 5 minutes. Pour 1 oz whisky into each of 6 heatproof glasses or mugs; top with hot cider mixture. Garnish each glass with cinnamon stick and lemon twist. Makes 6 servings.
