Wel­come hol­i­day guests this sea­son with these de­lec­ta­ble cof­fee cook­ies. They have a unique and de­li­cious flavour and are the per­fect way to warm up win­ter when get­ting to­gether with fam­ily and friends.

IN­GRE­DI­ENTS

(For 10 serv­ings) 2 tbsp Lavazza ground cof­fee 2 cups plus 2 tbsp plain flour

¾ cup but­ter

¾ cup ic­ing sugar

1 egg

1 egg yolk

Salt

PREPA­RA­TION

Mix the sugar and but­ter un­til it be­comes creamy. Cre­ate a well in the mid­dle of the flour, dust it with the ground cof­fee and pour the but­ter and sugar mix­ture into the mid­dle. Now add the egg and y olk to the well and be­gin to stir all the in­gre­di­ents to­gether, com­bin­ing them slowly. Knead un­til you have a uni­form dough, then chill in the fridge for ap­prox­i­mately one hour.

BAK­ING

Roll out the dough on a board un­til the de­sired thick­ness is reached. Use cookie cut­ters to cut out your cookie shapes. If de­sired, top each one with a cof­fee bean. Place them on bak­ing pa­per and bake at 180°C (350°F) for 10 to 12 min­utes.
