Canned co­conut milk is an es­sen­tial pantry in­gre­di­ent for quick cur­ries and stews. But co­conut milk can sep­a­rate in the can re­sult­ing in a thick, heavy cream on top and wa­tery liq­uid un­der­neath. To bring the two parts to­gether again, give the can a good shake be­fore open­ing.
