GLAZED CHEDDAR PORK BURG­ERS

Pat­ties Stir to­gether 1 tbsp wa­ter, egg, cheddar, bread crumbs, gar­lic, sage, salt and pep­per; mix in pork. Shape into four ¾-inch thick pat­ties.

Whisk to­gether mus­tard, maple syrup and vine­gar; set aside.

Skewer onion slices through edges to keep rings in­tact. Brush both sides with oil; sprin­kle with salt and pep­per. Place on greased grill over medium heat; close lid and grill, turn­ing once, un­til ten­der, about 10 min­utes. Re­move skew­ers and sep­a­rate into rings.

Mean­while, place pat­ties on grill; close lid and grill for 5 min­utes. Turn and brush with half of the mus­tard mix­ture; close lid and grill for 5 min­utes. Turn and brush with re­main­ing mus­tard mix­ture; close lid and grill un­til in­stant-read ther­mome­ter in­serted side­ways into cen­tre reads 160°F, about 5 min­utes. Serve in buns with onions.
