Destination Race

Races with Beer on Tap

Canadian Running - - SEPTEMBER & OCTOBER 2017 - By Tracey Tong

For those devoted to the sport, running is its own reward, but we’re not about to turn down a refreshing brew after a gruelling race.

They’re not your traditional beer mile – many of these races feature beautiful scenery and delectable treats to accompany the beverages, which are often served in collectible glasses. They make great fun runs for clubs and groups of friends, but organizers don’t discount that runners are still looking for a PB or even a BQ, and so offer organized events and fast courses – there just happens to be an extra incentive to register for (and complete) the race. After all, who doesn’t want to be greeted by a tall blonde at the finish line?

Here are our favourite runs, both at home and internationally, that offer free beer or wine.
