Cam Levins inches closer to the marathon
One of Canada’s most talented distance runners is running the half-marathon at the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon. The 21.1k starts and follows the marathon course nearly the entire way, until veering to the finish in the final kilometre. This will give Cam Levins a taste of what world-class marathoning is like. He has indicated that he would like to one day soon race 42.2k, and has ambitious goals: not just a Canadian record (which has stood at 2:10:09 since 1975), but a time competitive with the fastest in the world today.
