March with di­ag­o­nal chop

Rec­om­mended: 3 sets 8–12 per side

WHY IT’S DONE: March­ing ex­er­cises are a great run-spe­cific drill, and adding in the chop will in­volve the core. HOW IT’S DONE: Do a sim­ple march mo­tion with the legs. Then chop with the arms to the op­po­site side. Do this quickly to work on co­or­di­na­tion and ef­fi­ciency. VARI­A­TION: March with heavy carry.
