Mayflower Mall promotion to help Heart and Stroke Foundation
SYDNEY — Cupid will be on hand at the Mayflower Mall, Saturday, Feb. 13, to help with the mall’s Love Me Do Valentines promotion in support of the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
People are being invited to submit a picture of themselves with their loved one along with a pledge of $2. The pictures will be displayed at the mall and on Feb. 13, Cupid’s arrow will strike the display.
The owner of the picture hit by Cupid’s arrow will win a one-night stay at the Keltic Lodge Resort and Spa, dinner and breakfast for two, and a $200 spa credit.
Volunteers from the Heart and Stroke Foundation will also be on hand providing information on heart disease and stroke, as well as research on cardiovascular disease.
“Heart disease and stroke are responsible for one in three deaths in Canada each year,” said Tracey Pierre, the foundation’s program co-ordinator in Cape Breton. “By partnering with the Mayflower Mall, we hope to bring awareness to our door-to-door campaign that is happening during February.”
The deadline for online photo submissions is Feb. 11 at 5 p.m. Pictures may also be delivered to the mall no later than 4 p.m. on Feb. 12.
