(CP) — The Nova Scotia Community College is now offering one of its programs exclusively within a First Nation community.

The aboriginal continuing care program will be offered on the Waycobah First Nation beginning in April.

Tom Gunn, principal of the Strait area campus, says graduates will be well-qualified. Students will be able to work in their community, in nursing homes and in acute care.

The tuition-free, 35-week program is open to 20 aboriginal students.
