Ben­e­fit show for Haitian re­lief tonight at Gov­er­nor's in Syd­ney

— The Cape Bre­ton Uni­ver­sity Save The Chil­dren So­ci­ety, in part­ner­ship with the Ac­tive-8! Cam­paign & JCI Cape Bre­ton, is pre­sent­ing a ben­e­fit show for Haitian earth­quake re­lief tonight at Gov­er­nor’s Pub & Eatery.

This event will fea­ture mu­si­cal per­for­mances from ECMA 2010 nom­i­nees The Easy Bleed­ers, The Novem­berists (a lo­cal su­per­group trib­ute band cov­er­ing songs by The De­cem­berists), folk rock trou­ba­dour Vic Tomiczek and prog rock­ers Thought Ma­chine.

The show will start around 10 p.m. and this event is open to those 19 years of age and over.

Cover is a $5 min­i­mum do­na­tion at the door.

All pro­ceeds will be do­nated to the re­lief ef­forts in Haiti through the Hu­man­i­tar­ian Coali­tion and Save the Chil­dren Canada.
