Benefit show for Haitian relief tonight at Governor's in Sydney
— The Cape Breton University Save The Children Society, in partnership with the Active-8! Campaign & JCI Cape Breton, is presenting a benefit show for Haitian earthquake relief tonight at Governor’s Pub & Eatery.
This event will feature musical performances from ECMA 2010 nominees The Easy Bleeders, The Novemberists (a local supergroup tribute band covering songs by The Decemberists), folk rock troubadour Vic Tomiczek and prog rockers Thought Machine.
The show will start around 10 p.m. and this event is open to those 19 years of age and over.
Cover is a $5 minimum donation at the door.
All proceeds will be donated to the relief efforts in Haiti through the Humanitarian Coalition and Save the Children Canada.
