VANCOUVER (CP) — Olympic organizers say more tickets to the opening ceremonies of the 2010 Winter Games may go on sale this week.

Caley Denton with the organizing committee says once they complete a full dress rehearsal for the ceremonies on Monday, they should have an idea whether extra space can be freed up.

Denton says they also expect to sell additional seats in most of the venues after the first few events are held and organizers can firmly establish how much space they need.

Denton says there are also some tickets still available for preliminary rounds of hock- ey and curling and for some of the nightly victory ceremonies.
