Motor league on road to ECMAs
New Brunswick band the focus in part two of five-part series featuring artists headed to Cape Breton for East Coast Music Awards.
This is part two of a five-part series featuring the artists headed to Cape Breton for the East Coast Music Awards, March 4-7. This week our focus is on New Brunswick.
“It’s really great for me because I’ll be able to go out and meet other musicians on the weekend and the show kind of gives me the opportunity to be there so that’s always a plus,” she said.
Her performance in Sydney will also set the stage for an exciting spring and summer for Hayward.
“I’m doing my first tour in April with a lady from Toronto, her name is Jadea Kelly, and she asked me to go and tour with her so we’re going to go around Quebec and Ontario and do some Maritime dates,” she said, noting she hopes to start recording a first album this spring or summer.
As for her expectations of debuting her pop-folk music in front of ECMA crowds, Hayward keeps it pretty simple.
“I hope they enjoy it,” she said.
