Sentence issued in dog shooting case
SYDNEY — A Southside Boularderie man who shot and maimed his neighbour’s dog has been sen- tenced to 12 months probation.
Last month, Judge Peter Ross found Mathias Thomas Murphy guilty of maiming the dog.
Murphy must also pay $2,500 in restitution, serve 70 hours community service and is subject to a 10year firearms prohibition.
The incident occurred in April 2007.
