VANCOUVER (CP) — Marge and Homer’s trip to the 2010 Winter Olympics is a big hit with curlers who are just a day away from beginning competition.

An episode of the long-running comedy The Simpsons featuring the cartoon power couple playing the game ran Sunday night.

Members of the U.S. Olympic men’s team got together to watch the episode and it was a hot topic of conversation at practice at the Vancouver Olympic Centre.

Team Canada skip Cheryl Bernard called the attention good for the sport.

In the episode, Marge played a curling natural who had to decide whether to win a possible medal by asking Homer to leave the team or ruin their chances by keeping him.
